Episode 265 - T.J.'s Identity Crisis

Awww, the team is playing basketball! How adorable are they? I really love the various team building things where they play ridiculous sports, and I'm even willing to buy the matching outfits, because... adorable. Also, TJ is clearly hooking up with EVERYONE on the team, and I approve of this.

Anyway, DECA disturbs the basketball game to tell them that they've arrived on some planet and Andros points out that if someone sees them the whole mission is worthless. Of course, there's Darkonda. HEY, MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T WEAR BRIGHTLY COLOR CODED CLOTHING, EVER THINK OF THAT???

Back on the ship, Carlos asks Andros about the technobabble that's going to scan the galaxy really quickly or something.

Darkona sneaks up on Astronema, who is super annoyed with him for that. Darkonda is all "Ecliptor sucks" and Astronema is mad on his behalf. Why is this season not about Ecliptor and Astronema and how they are awesome? Ecliptor storms in and Darkonda spills the beans on the satellite. Darkonda and Ecliptor then blow up the scanner with Darkonda being all threatening about telling Astronema something, and somehow this causes the Rangers to lose the lock they had on Zordon. UM, YOU HAD ALREADY LOCATED HIM OR WHATEVER.

Anyway, time for a fight scene. Darkonda tries to kill Ecliptor or merge with him or somethign, because Darkonda is a GREAT villain and then we get Darkliptor. Darkliptor freezes Ashley and Cassie, and Andros tries to be one of THOSE reds and just run and attack even though TJ is all "DUDE, YOU NEED A PLAN." TJ takes a blow that was meant for Andros and goes down HARD. Carlos also gets all frozen or whatever and Andros takes the unconscious TJ back to the ship, leaving the others on the planet.

AND THEN WE FIND OUT TJ HAS AMNESIA AND LIKE, FAVORITE THING EVER.

Um, I have mentioned my love of amnesia before, yes?

TJ runs through the megaship and we head over to where Darkliptor has the other Rangers. Astronema seems to be buying Darkliptor's claim that Ecliptor had attacked Darkonda, or at least she's all "eh, he's caught three of them. Useful." She orders him to destroy the three Rangers, but he claims they're needed as bait. ASTRONEMA IS THE SMARTEST, EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO HER.

Back on the ship, TJ is still confused and Andros tries to jog his memory. TJ denies that he's a power ranger and Andros goes down to the planet himself.

You guys, this episode needs so much more of TJ not remembering that he's dating Cassie and/or Andros and them being all "CUDDLES!" For an episode that is supposed to be about amnesia, I am not getting the good parts of this trope. :((((

Andros is getting beaten up, while TJ explores the ship. He finds a basketball and somehow this makes him start to remember or whatever? Pfft. He then finds his locker which has pictures of the team , and he manages to teleport himself to watch the battle. He morphs and is still confused about being the blue ranger, and Darkliptor immediately attacks him. TJ is about to get killed when Andros saves him, and THEN TJ remembers.

Look, this is the biggest waste of an amnesia plot ever. WHERE ARE MY HIJINKS????

TJ remembers Andros, since apparently they are totally dating, and the two of them attack Darkliptor together. They trick him by throwing weapons and then blasting him and the amount I don't care about fight scenes or whatever. When Andros hits Darkliptor he splits back into Darkonda and Ecliptor and Astronema is all "what???" Darkonda recombines with Ecliptor just as Astronema makes them grow. Zords are summoned and Darkonda separates from Ecliptor again to make Ecliptor get destroyed instead of them both. Astronema proves to be a moron and believes Ecliptor attacked Darkonda, and declares him to be Ecliptor's equal. I am more concerned with whatever it is that Darkonda is blackmailing Ecliptor with, because I don't remember.

Back on the ship, apparently the technobabbley device is broken forever. TJ doesn't seem to remember what basketball is, so Carlos and Ashley are totally unconcerned about this and are just all "We are so going to beat them" but TJ is faking it. (Also, I choose to believe that TJ, Cassie and Andros are having a threesome.)

Fish: 3. HEY, WHERE ARE MY HIJINKS?

Episode 227 - Trouble by the Slice

I am so glad I ordered pizza last night, because seriously, now I am totally craving pizza. Luckily, I have leftovers. (Also, when we recap Jungle Fury, there will be all the pizza.)

Anyway, I know this episode has a bad reputation, but this is so ridiculously delightful. Amnesiac!Divatox for the win. Seriously, I would watch an entire series of Divatox and Rita running a pizza place. They can compete with RJ! It would be amazing.

Also, EVIL PIZZA. There is nothing not to like here.

So we begin with Porto having invented some sort of new teleportation device. Divatox thinks this is great, but also gets totally annoyed (as you do) and turns a Pirahnatron into a donkey. This is amazing, and we briefly wonder why she never does this to the Rangers, but then we guess it only works on fish. Divatox decides that the device needs more power, so she turns it to eleven, but apparently she took lessons from the Stormtroopers, and misses, the device ricochets and hits her, and she ends up in the middle of Angel Grove with amnesia. I've mentioned before how much I love amnesia as a plot device. I even love the Full House series finale, okay?

Meanwhile, Carlos is apparently having difficulties with dating Ashley, and he's complaining about it to Justin. Justin is not very sympathetic, because he is clearly not at all interested in girls, and instead is paying attention to a soccer player named Nico. Carlos and Justin are invited to play, and Justin is nervous because he's never played before, and he doesn't want to make a fool out of himself in front of Nico. But he plays anyway.

Amnesiac!Divatox is amazing. Somehow, the citizens of Angel Grove don't run screaming from the sight of her, and instead she wanders into a pizza place, where she eats a slice of pizza, and is stuck having to work it off. (Also, Bulk and Skull are the pizza delivery guys. They are seriously bad at this.) Divatox's transformation into bitchy waitress is hilarious and seriously, a whole show of Divatox and Rita running a pizza place. I want this. She's awful at it, doing a hilarious combination of truck stop waitress and grumpy diner waitress. Also, she keeps eating the pizza. There's a poor other terrified girl working with her.

Carlos and Justin and the rest of their new friends (inappropriately young for Carlos, but since he has Justin around I guess not as creepy) come in and order a pizza, and they get 2 pies and 3 pitchers for $15. WE ARE SO OLD. The pizza I ordered last night was $12 just for one pie! There's a whole scene of wacky we just keep missing each other hijinks. I'm not going to lie, I was amused.

Porto comes in (in drag, and the worst disguise ever) and sees Divatox (because apparently they order pizza a lot, are we sure the Turtles crossover isn't until next season?) and Divatox gets her memory back (after commenting on the ridiculousness of the disguise) and they send a pizza monster to attack the Rangers.

EVIL PIZZAS THAT POSSESS THE CARS. This is glorious. Also, pizza related puns! Anyway, the Rangers get stuck in an oven (... that is covered in kanji) and frankly, we would both totally order power rangers pizza. (Although not if it was made with real power rangers.) The scene is pretty much ruined with the arrival of the Blue Senturian who rescues them, and then the Rangers are pretty much useless for the rest of the episode, although they do get to show off their new toy before zords are summoned.

Divatox uses her teleporter again, and transports Elgar into the lake. Sadly, it doesn't kill him.

Fish: 4. But only because they really should have been crispified in the oven.

Fic we want: ... Do you have to ask?

Episode 197- King for a Day Part 2

THIS is the episode where I think Kat's character was handled the BEST. Seriously, she should have been like this ALL the time. Plus, Bulk and Skull are BIG DAMN HEROES!!!!!!!!!!!!

So last time on Power Rangers, Tommy had induced amnesia and thought he was king of the Machine Empire. He was in an arena. Fighting Jason. And a billion shippy fics were born.

Jason wants to save Tommy with the power of friendship. He says "Tommy" a lot and this seems to trigger something, and I keep screaming at Tommy to just look at how he's dressed because HELLO! POWER RANGER! Tommy, unfortunately, is not very smart.

In a cell, Bulk and Skull are discussing The Way Things Are with Fish Hat guy. He is a master warrior from his planet. Gasket is collecting warriors from every planet for his arena and he just assumes Bulk and Skull are warriors as well. They do not correct him. Best part of this exchange?
Fish Hat Guy: "What planet are you from?"
Bulk and Skull: "We're from Earth."
Fish Hat Guy: "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."
BWAAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. HE KNOWS.

On the moon, Rita and Zedd are watching. Rita makes a comment about as soon as the rangers destroy each other, they'll rule the Earth. Except they WON'T. And the moment they realize that is SAD. They are so distraught! Zedd realizes there is only one way to win, and that's take out the Machine Empire. And the only way to do that is to HELP THE RANGERS. It physically pained him to say this, and Rita fainted, but he's RIGHT.

Tommy and Jason are fighting and Billy is trying desperately to get the other rangers there to help. He gets them as far as the lake where Tommy first was kidnapped and that's it. He loses the signal. They can't go anywhere. So they stand around near the lake helpless, hoping Billy will do his usual and pull a miracle out of thin air to get them there. He doesn't. Instead, FINSTER DOES IT FOR HIM. Finster has been working on his own teleportation device and convinced Zedd that five rangers are more annoying than one, and he should teleport the other rangers to help win back Tommy. Zedd takes credit, of course, and Finster blows out his machine doing it. BUT HE DID IT. FINSTER TELEPORTED THE RANGERS TO JASON AND TOMMY. BECAUSE HE IS AWESOME. (and now we feel Billy and Finster should bond. Best friendship ever y/y/mfy?)

Meanwhile, Bulk, Skull, and Fish Hat Guy defeat a cog and escape. The plan is to travel to the control room and destroy the mind wipe device, thus restoring Tommy's memories. Then they're going to destroy the force field device and allow EVERYBODY to escape and go home. Good plan, guys! Except there are lots of cogs near the control room. Fish Hat Guy locks himself in to destroy everything, leaving Bulk and Skull outside to fight the cogs. AND THEY DO. AND IT IS AMAZING. They handle more cogs unmorphed and without the benefit of any special power flowing through them than the rangers EVER do MORPHED. BECAUSE BULK AND SKULL ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE THEM AND THIS IS THE BEST FIGHT OF THE WHOLE SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the five rangers attempt to restrain Tommy and convince him he's on their side. It's not working too well. Until Kat pulls the MOST AWESOME MOVE EVER. She DEMORPHS. Right there. Mid fight. She refuses to fight any longer and just demorphs, trying to convince Tommy that she is his friend, not his enemy. She stand there while he attempts to attack her, but he can't do it, because part of him KNOWS. She hugs him tight and talks to him, willing him with the sheer power of friendship, that he is GOOD and they are GOOD and it's OKAY. AND I LOVE HER FOR IT. IT WORKS. Tommy starts to remember. Jason demorphs to help Kat. Tommy remembers more. The others join in. Tommy is struggling with this, and almost attacks again. Instead he fully realizes himself, demorphs, and stands with his friends! Yay for the power of friendship! Seriously, this is one of my favourite tropes.

So the rangers can't morph and they can't teleport out and Gasket comes down to start monologuing them. Except Bulk and Skull and Fish Hat Guy WON. They destroyed everything, in a big explosion, and the force field vanishes. The rangers bid their farewells and teleport the hell out of there. Bulk and Skull aren't sure Fish Hat Guy made it out, but he comes striding out of the fire and it is awesome. They're so happy to see him! He congratulates them, they do the grunt, and they congratulate him. Except they have no way home, so he honours them by taking them home himself. AWWWWWW.

Back on Earth, Bulk and Skull regale Emily with their tales of heroics. She doesn't believe them and even taunts them about it. It makes me sad. So they go tell Jason, Kat, and Tommy. Who DO believe them! And talk about how the rangers would surely thank them. Except Tommy and Kat, in attempting that whole Secret Identity thing, come across sarcastic. Bulk and Skull stomp off, upset that nobody believes them, even though the trio call after them that they do believe them and please don't go. They were actually trying to be nice this time which is a very welcome change from similar interactions in MMPR!

2 fish. Anything fishy is completely overshadowed by the awesome that is Kat AND Bulk and Skull!

(I really need a good Bulk and Skull icon)

Episode 196 - King For A Day - Part 1

First, I'm really sorry we've been so long without recaps. I moved into a new apartment, and that's taken precedence over pretty much everything, including recapping. But I am moved in now, so recaps are back on schedule! (Err, for version of schedule that means we're still 3 months behind where we said we'd be.)

SO. Onto the recap.

Tommy has been kidnapped, and how much do I love that we get to use that tag again? A LOT, let me tell you.

The episode begins with Tommy's brainwashing, where he's fighting the white ranger version of himself, and some cogs. I maintain that this is one of the events that contributes to Tommy's MPD. But we'll discuss that when we get to Dino Thunder. Gasket is being all great and menacing and going on about how he's manipulating Tommy's mind and will brainwash him to destroy the Rangers, while also giving Tommy's powers to some monster.

This is... actually a great plan! Good job, Gasket!

Meanwhile, Rocky, Jason and Kat are at the Youth Center since there's nothing they can do at the moment, where they stumble upon Bulk and Skull insisting to a mocking crowd that they saw Zeo Ranger 5 at the lake, except they could see right through him. You would think that the people of Angel Grove would be way more tolerant of these things, considering they get attacked by monsters all the time, but nobody is willing to listen to Bulk and Skull. Probably because they have cried wolf a few too many times. They're dared to go get some proof (by some tiny children) and they agree. Meanwhile, the Rangers also decide to check it out.

With the brainwashing complete, Tommy's powers are transferred to some monster that they now claim has the power of 100 warriors. That is BULLSHIT. Maybe 100 putties or something. Then we get transferred to the arena, and I am not going to lie, I am absolutely craving a bad and wrong gladiator AU where the Rangers are all captured and forced to fight each other. *cough* I mean, seriously, we have a great setup for it! (We like torturing our favorites, WHAT?)

So it turns out that Tommy hasn't been brainwashed to be evil again, he just has amnesia and Gasket is telling him that the Rangers are the evil ones. This sucks, because frankly, Tommy is better when he's evil. Also, no evil laugh. BOO. On the other hand, amnesia is still pretty great for fic writing.

At the Power Chamber, the Rangers are all discussing what to do, and Jason and Kat are pretty much fighting over who gets to rescue Tommy. Seriously, they should just date each other instead of fighting over him. But Jason's hero complex is in full effect, and he goes on about how he can't fail Tommy again. Hey, continuity!

They head to the lake, and see holographic!Tommy, and Jason runs right to it while Kat realizes that It's a trap! Jason gets caught, and Kat does not. Bulk and Skull, who show up to investigate, also get caught. Walking chaos magnets, for real.

Gasket has convinced Tommy that the Rangers are evil by showing him three images of the Rangers shooting things and then things blowing up. Tommy decides that his best warrior will destroy the Rangers, starting with the Gold Ranger, who is now stuck in the arena. GLADIATOR AU. FOR REAL. For some reason, Tommy doesn't wonder why he is dressed as a Ranger.

Bulk and Skull are also being held captive in a cell, where some guy with a fish hat asks them if they want to argue with each other, or escape.

Back at the Power Chamber, Billy has returned and is scanning for Tommy's missing brainwaves, and they also manage to find Jason, and Bulk and Skull. Billy is so not surprised to see Bulk and Skull have been captured, because they are walking chaos magnets. He refers to them as a couple of hitchhikers, which explains so much. They're all freaked out because they don't know where their towel is! Oh, and the portal is now closed, so the rest of the Rangers can't get in.

Then they manage to get a picture, because Gasket is BROADCASTING THIS. Even Rito and Goldar pick it up on the moon! To be fair, if I was going to destroy a Ranger, I would probably also broadcast it. It would be great ratings. Except I'd do it timedelayed, since, you know, the Rangers aren't that easy to destroy.

Jason fights the monster, and then figures out that it has Tommy's powers because only Tommy can match him move for move, so he just calls the monster Tommy a lot and somehow that makes it lose Tommy's powers? That whole part makes no sense. He tries to get through to Tommy, but Tommy just says he will fight him instead.

Fish: 4.5. LOOK, that thing with the brainwaves makes NO SENSE. A good plan, but NO SENSE. If you cut out the whole thing with the monster using Tommy's powers, it would drop down a lot, but it made NO SENSE.

Fic we want: GLADIATOR AU.

Questions: Why are some of Rita and Zedd's monsters in the audience?

Episode 157 - A Zeo Beginning Part 2

We didn't talk about the opening theme last time, did we? Nope. Okay, opening theme. I like the Zeo theme. It gets stuck in my head a lot. I mean, we haven't quite lost the go go power rangers yet, and I will sulk like crazy when it happened. So, theme song. Still acceptable.

We open with everyone looking worried about Zordon, but of course, he's fine. He apologizes for not telling them about the Power Chamber beneath the Command Center, because he doesn't want to worry them. Because having a backup plan is worrying? I... fail to see the logic in that.

Tanya tries to show off her new knowledge of the Power Rangers, but she is told that no, it isn't Rita and Zedd, but instead the Machine Empire. Everyone asks a bunch of questions, which overloads Alpha's sensors. Poor Alpha.

Meanwhile, the Machine Empire is bickering among themselves. I love the Machines. Sprocket is a brat, but I can't really blame him, since he's been programmed to be a kid.

On the other hand, I hate the Bulk and Skull storyline. They take Rito and Goldar as their servants. Frankly, I think this is a few steps back in their character development, and it pisses me off like crazy.

Rita clubs Zedd with her wand, and then they head off in Serpenterra.

Back in the Power Chamber, Zordon fills them in with a bunch of exposition. They are then told that it's time for them to become Zeo Rangers.

Knowing what happened to David Yost this part makes me cry.

Even if it does make a little bit of sense with what we know about Billy's character.

Billy says that his experience with the Alien Rangers made him realize that he was more valuable behind the scenes and passes his powers onto Tanya. Oh, BILLY. *cuddles him so much* (Especially because David Yost really does not sound happy about it.)

The Rangers all get their new powers, complete with color change. (Kat remains pink, Tanya is yellow, Rocky is blue, Adam green, and Tommy is red, of course.) Alpha pats Billy on the shoulder when Rocky gets his color. Poor Rangers, they all need to go shopping for new clothes.

They all morph to go fight the Machine Empire and... confession time. I don't like the Zeo costumes. I think the giant strip of white at the collar is ugly. Also, this was the first costume change for these Rangers (not counting Aquitians, because they were a separate set) and I loved the original PR costumes. The Zeo ones are... okay? I guess? But I have been bitter for the last 14 years that they changed the costumes, so I will continue to be bitter about it.

After the Rangers defeat the cogs, Mondo actually takes it pretty well. He's all "oooh, a challenge." This is a much better attitude then Rita and Zedd have ever had, I've got to admit.

At the Youth center, the male Rangers (including Billy) are all loudly talking about how they're back, and the Zeo Crystal. On the bright side, Adam has nice arms. Tanya and Kat also show up and let us know that Tanya will be living with Kat and she'll be enrolled in Angel Grove starting tomorrow.

Billy is all angsty, but they remind him that once a ranger, always a ranger. Aww, team.

Fish: 1. As much as we may bot be pleased by the Billy development, it does make sense in character. And yeah, a lot of exposition, but it worked.

Fic we want: More reactions to the color switch.

Episode 156- A Zeo Beginning Part 1

We're on Zeo guys! This is such a great season. Let's hope the fish is low with this one.

So we start off in the smoldering ruins of the Command Center. It's pretty powerful, with the rangers running in slow motion through the flames and a voice-over from Tommy. It works. I don't think he was the best choice, what with his lacking emotional depth and all, but he handles it alright *cough*Davidwouldhavebeenabetterchoice*cough*.

On the moon, Rita and Zedd are throwing an awesome party. Finster is harshing their squee, however, but they try to ignore him. Rita finally listens and looks, only to discover the Machine Empire is at their doorstep. They're in big trouble, pack up, and get the hell out of Dodge. The Machine Empire is serious business, yo. They set up shop almost immediately, sure they can easily claim the planet as their own.

Back on Earth, the Rangers are despondent in the ruins. Adam notices the crystal buried in the rubble (because he's observant, unlike his younger counterpart) and they dig it out. It SINGS to them, cracks the ground at their feet, and down down down they go past the horrible green screen and cheap special effects. Billy recognizes they're in the lower chambers. They hear Alpha's voice and, like moths to the flame, follow it.

Elsewhere on Earth, Rita and Goldar are lost. They have no memory of who they are or where they came from. They try to ask some teenagers but get confused when the kids run away screaming. Poor amnesiac Rito and Goldar. I feel so bad for them this season.

Back on the moon, Finster warns them to conserve their power and carefully chart their course. They try to figure out where to go and Rita overrules her husband. She calls out, "Papa, can you hear me?". They're going to stay with her dad.

Back in the nethers of the Command Center, the rangers come upon a large, green, glowing vortex. Alpha tells them to go into the light. They're here! Rocky is hesitant to go into the light. Billy has to reach out and drag him through. Billy knows where they are! He's seen plans when he was poking through the mainframe. They wonder about Zordon. Alpha is mean and teases them, saying he should have told them right away.

And that's our cliffhanger, folks. What the hell happened to Zordon? (let's all pretend we don't know and act worried, mkay?)

Fish: 1.5 fish, and only that .5 because we're not sure how the Zeo Crystal ended up at the ruins while Goldar and Rito ended up in suburban Angel Grove.

Episode 99 - Rangers Back in Time

I almost can't believe that this episode exists. I mean, neither of us remembered very much about it other than "Rangers get turned into kids" but I'm going to have to watch this episode a million more times because it is PURE GOLD.

You may not agree with me, but apparently a thing that I love is "people get turned into children." There needs to be SO MUCH FIC of baby!Rangers. And fic where Trini/Jason/Zack show up and have to babysit the baby!Rangers! And I just... yeah, I would read a million words of this. Or watch this episode a billion times, even though it makes no sense whatsoever and baby!Rocky has the worst hair I've ever seen.

Anyway, onto the actual episode. We open and the Rangers are in first grade. Well, not really. They're still in high school, but they are having show and tell. Their assignment is to bring in a photo of themselves as a kid, and talk about what it means to them. So Aisha has a picture of herself at a dance recital, Kimberly has a picture from her first gymnastics meet (she lost, I'm amazed) but it taught her to be a good sport. Tommy has a picture of him from a karate match (hard work), Billy took apart his mother's vacuum, Rocky learned responsibility from his dog, Buster, and Adam loves his dad. Bulk and Skull have a joint photo, of how they became BFF. (Or at Bulk put it, how Skull dropped a grape popsicle on Bulk and Bulk decided not to beat him up after. I love them so much.)

I officially have so much fanon about their childhoods it is now officially completely ridiculous. I could babble about that for most of the recap, but I don't think anyone but me wants to read a million words about Adam and Rocky playing in the sandbox together and then Aisha dumped a bucket of sand over both of their heads and told them that they were doing it wrong.

Zedd is all "AHA! I know! If I turn them into children they can't fight me anymore!" Oh, Zedd. This never ends well. So he creates the rock of time which will somehow turn them into children or maybe make time go backwards. It isn't really clear.

Back at school, Billy notices that the clock is running backwards, and he tells Miss Applebee, who is really freaked out about it. She doesn't know what to do. For some reason, calling a janitor is not one of the suggestions. And I have no idea why changing time would make the clocks run backwards. That isn't how this works. No, really. REALLY. I have opinions on time travel, I read a lot of scifi. (Maybe the clock is controlled by fish?)

Then the spell takes hold, and suddenly we are distracted by tiny!Rangers. They look like they're in... third grade? Just a guess? So about nine. Somewhere between eight and ten anyway. But we're suddenly distracted by the horrible hair. It isn't just Rocky's thing, which looks like a cross between a mullet and a hedgehog. Miss Applebee also has an awful wig, and Adam's hair isn't that great either. They just keep going as if nothing is wrong, and we're suddenly distracted by the giant swarm of fish that just swam across the TV.

Okay, the questions. If they did go back in time, why are Tommy, Adam, Rocky and Aisha still in Angel Grove? Why are they in the high school classroom? How have their memories changed so that they still know each other, but they don't know that they're Rangers? Why did the clocks run backwards? Why did their clothes shrink? Why are they doing more advanced work as children then they were doing in high school? Why does Rocky have a mullet? Why isn't Zordon affected? How is Zedd unaffected? Are they back in time, or did they just all get new memories? Is this an alternate reality? How is baby!Aisha so freaking awesome? Why did Queenriley and I accidentally decide that Zack is the Face of Boe? (The answer to that last one is actually that I made the best typo ever.)

So, Miss Applebee and her awful hair ask the students to do long division, and Kimberly gets called up to the board. She does long division, explaining step by step how to do 900 divided by 30. Aww, Kim. You kick ass at math. She goes back to her seat, and it turns out that baby!Bulk and Skull had tried to put a shaving cream balloon on her seat while she was up at the board. But their plan backfired, and they end up covered in shaving cream, and Kimberly only gets a speck on her jumper. Miss Applebee asks what happens, and Aisha stands up to tattle.

I take it back, CLEARLY Aisha, Rocky and Adam became BFF when she ratted them out for doing something. Also, she totally becomes a lawyer when she grows up. Nothing will convince me otherwise.

After class, the baby!Rangers and Bulk and Skull all go to the park. Adam and Billy try to fly a kite together. (Bulk and Skull then steal the kite and manage to get themselves tangled up in the string, at which point all the Rangers make fun of them. Apparently some things never change.) It is so adorable I can't even deal. But both Zedd and Zordon are watching. Zordon is concerned that bringing the Rangers to the Command Center will scare them, and Zedd is out to destroy them. So Zedd sends down some putties to attack the baby!Rangers. Kimberly clings to Billy, and Billy wonders if the putties are lost. And then Adam asks if they want to play, but the Putties attack instead.

I'm sorry, this fight is too adorable for words. Tommy manages to kick a dodgeball into the Z of one of the Putties. All of the Rangers join in, and even baby Bulk manages to destroy a putty! Aww, I am so proud of them! *pinches their cheeks* Zedd is not pleased that the baby!Rangers have managed to defeat the putties, so he turns a camera into a monster, and traps the baby!Rangers in a polaroid.

At the Command Center, Alpha works on a device to fix things, while Zordon worries. DUN DUN DUN.

To be continued. On Thursday.

Fish: FIVE. There are SO MANY QUESTIONS. But this episode was still AMAZING. I hope part 2 is as good.

Covered in: Bulk and Skull get covered in shaving cream, and some random lady at the park gets covered in garbage

Fic people should write us: ADVENTURES OF THE BABY RANGERS.
